Learn how make a straight and A-line skirt pattern to fit your own measurements and stitch up samples.
This 10 hour workshop will run over two consecutive Saturdays:
11 June (9am – 2pm) and 18 June (9am – 2pm)
Cost: R500 (includes instruction notes, pattern paper and sample fabric).
A R250 deposit will secure your position as a maximum of 4 people can attend.
This workshop will cover
- Creating a straight skirt pattern to fit your individual measurements.
- Changing the straight skirt pattern to an A-Line.
- Transferring the waist darts to different positions.
- Preparing a pattern for sewing, laying pattern on fabric and cutting out.
- Stitching up a straight and A-line skirt and adjusting the fit.
- Planning and stitching waistline finishes – facings and shaped waistband.
- Setting in two types of zips - lapped zip and invisible zip.
